A more relaxed approach to portraits
Being in front of a camera doesn't come naturally to everyone including myself — and that's completely fine.
My portrait sessions are deliberately relaxed. Rather than spending an hour forcing pose after pose, we'll choose a location that suits you, take our time and create photographs that feel natural.
Whether you're looking for photographs of yourself, a session with your partner, or simply want to capture this particular point in your life, the aim is the same: photographs that still feel like you when you look back at them years from now.
The Process
Around an hour together, without rushing through a checklist of poses. I'll give you direction where you need it while leaving enough room for natural moments to happen.

We'll talk about what you're looking for, choose a location and discuss clothing, timings and any ideas you have.
02 - The Session
03 - After
I'll carefully select and edit the strongest photographs from the session before delivering your finished gallery digitally.

BEHIND THE CAMERA
I'm Otto, a photographer based on the Isle of Man.
Much of my photography has grown from documenting the places, people and heritage around me. That same approach carries into my portraits: looking for genuine moments rather than trying to manufacture them.
My job isn't to turn you into someone else for the camera. It's to make good photographs of the person already standing in front of it.
FAQs
WhI've never had professional photographs taken before. Is that okay?Absolutely. Most people aren't accustomed to being photographed. I'll give you direction throughout the session, and there's no expectation that you'll arrive knowing how to pose.
Where do sessions take place?
At locations around the Isle of Man. We can choose somewhere that suits the look you're after or somewhere that has personal significance.
